Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino
Co-Founder and Spokesman, Archangel Centers
A Story of Recovery
Mike Sorrentino rose to fame on MTV's Jersey Shore as “The Situation,” but behind the cameras he was battling a prescription pill and opioid addiction that nearly cost him everything. His public struggle with substance abuse, arrest, and eventual federal conviction made national headlines.
But so did his recovery.
Mike entered treatment, got sober, and committed fully to his recovery. He married his college sweetheart Lauren Pesce, welcomed children, and rebuilt his life brick by brick. Today, with over 10 years of sobriety, Mike is one of the most visible and credible recovery advocates in the country.
Co-founding Archangel Centers was not a business decision for Mike. It was a calling. “I know what it feels like to be at the bottom,” he has said. “I know what it takes to get out. I want to help people do that.”
Mike's Role at Archangel
